I can’t believe I’m halfway through my Cambridge course! It’s even better than I expected it to be, and I’ve made a great group of friends who I’ll really miss when I go back home. On the upside, I now have friends in America, Colombia, Sweden and France!
This week we did a lot more touristy things than last week, I think because we’re more settled in to the routine of life at Cambridge. On Monday evening we had a ‘room party’ which is becoming quite a tradition in our little group…we basically just go and hang out in someone’s room, have a few drinks and chat about stuff. It’s a really nice way to relax at the end of a long day in class. We’re all doing different Summer School programs so we don’t always see each other during the day.

On Thursday afternoon we went punting on the River Cam which was a great way to see some other parts of Cambridge. We saw most of the Colleges and the pub where a couple of members of Pink Floyd used to play.

Thursday night we decided to go and explore some of the pubs around Cambridge. We ended up at a place called the “Cambridge Brewhouse”, and even I had some beer! I mean you can’t go to a place called the Cambridge Brewhouse and not try the King’s Lane brew…..

Friday was our last night in Cambridge so we had a formal dinner in College, before adjourning to the gardens for some pictures.

Of course, it wouldn’t be a Friday night in Cambridge if we didn’t finish with a traditional room party then a night out! We had some pre-drinks in Ana Maria’s room, then we went out to some clubs in Cambridge. I can’t believe my two weeks in Cambridge are over, I’ve had the most incredible time, met some amazing people and loved every minute of it.
*For those who are confused: yes, I have two friends called Ana Maria. Yes, they are both Colombian. Yes, they are actually friends in real life.
